Lately I have been feeling a little sluggish, to say the least. I went all of last week without taking any walks at all, which is very unusual for me. Even after the weekend, I am still feeling tired. It’s beautiful and sunny here in Seattle, and all I want to do is crawl in bed. I am tired of feeling tired!
So, I decided today that I need to eat more fruits and vegetables and stop drinking so much coffee. I’m not sure if this has anything to do with my exhaustion, but it can’t hurt and it’s worth a try. I went to the store this afternoon to stock up on some greens and reds and yellows, and I came back unexpectedly with…. a blender! And not just any old blender. I splurged a bit and got the KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender, but I figure it’s an investment in my health. I’m a big smoothie fan. I crave them. And I usually just pick up an Odwalla or Naked Juice, but I know I am going to have a ton of fun coming up with my own blends and trying others’. Plus it will save me money in the long run and I’ll be filled with more nutrients. Bwahaha
And let’s be real here… I will also be able to make milk shakes and frothy chocolate milk and boozey beverages too! I feel bad for the guy in the apartment above me. He’s going to hear a lot of blending from here on out! Right this second, I am drinking a very basic blend of banana, plain yogurt, ice and honey. Yum! I must say, I do feel a burst of refreshment.
